This past week, while on PTO in the Smoky Mountains, I had the privilege of viewing one of artist Mark Kethley's paintings. The powerful story comes from 2 Kings when Elisha is surrounded by Syrians and scared for his life. God reminds him that he is never alone, then opens his eyes to the reality that "More Are With Us."

Have you ever felt surrounded, alone, like you are the only one who remains faithful to your corporate vision or strategy?

You aren't the first to feel that pressure, and you won't be the last. In 2 Kings, we're reminded not to fear because, "'those who are with us are more than those who are with them.' And Elisha prayed, and said, 'Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.' Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha." (2 Kings 6:16-17, NKJV)

Jude carries that same message deep into the New Testament, reminding us that, while me may be surrounded by those who claim to walk the same path, their true intentions are selfish and cause division (Jude 1:16-19, NKJV).

As servant leaders, it is our job to see through the veil, overcome the sabotage, and keep pressing on. It can be hard, but we all know that anything worth its value doesn't come easy. So, stay the course, Servant Leader, honor your commitment to your people and your company, trust the wisdom you have been given and gained, and remember - you are never alone...more are with us.
